“ Ghost Hunt” follows the ghost hunting adventures of Mai Taniyama, a first-year high school student who becomes involved with Shibuya Psychic Research (SPR), and its young manager, Kazuya Shibuya. The “ Ghost Hunt” film screenplay is written by Tetsuya Oishi and Shiho Inada, author of the manga. Hana Sugisaki (“ Blade of the Immortal“) will play “Mai Taniyama”, the film’s lead.ĭirector Keishi Ohtomo is known for other manga and novel adaptations like the complete series of Rurouni Kenshin (5 Films), “March March Comes in Like a Lion” and “Goes out Like a Lamb” from popular Chica Umino’s graphic novels, and “The Back of Shadow” and “Million Dollar Man”. Haruma would play “Kazuya Shibuya”, the owner of SPR (Shibuya Psychic Research). Japanese actor Miura Haruma (“ A Banana? At This Time of Night?“) has officially signed on to star in the adaptation, due to be released in September 2021 in Japan.
